أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ، ثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ، ثَنَا عَطَاءُ بْنُ السَّائِبِ، عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ جُمْهَانَ قَالَ:
قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ - يَعْنِي: لِابْنِ عُمَرَ - أَوْ قَالَ غَيْرِي: مَرَرْتُ عَلَى دَجَاجَةٍ مَيْتَةٍ، فَوَطِئْتُ عَلَيْهَا، فَخَرَجَتْ مِنِ اسْتِهَا بَيْضَةٌ، آكُلُهَا ؟ قَالَ: لَا. قَالَ: يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، مَرَرْتُ عَلَى دَجَاجَةٍ مَيْتَةٍ، فَوَطِئْتُ عَلَيْهَا، فَخَرَجَتْ مِنِ اسْتِهَا بَيْضَةٌ، فَفَرَّخْتُهَا، فَأَخْرَجَتْ فَرْخًا، آكُلُهُ ؟ قَالَ: مِمَّنْ أَنْتَ ؟ قَالَ: قُلْتُ: مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ
