✧ A Jadh'ah Does Not Suffice Except for Sheep Alone, and a Thaniyyah Suffices for Goats, Camels, and Cattle

( وَعَلَى مِثْلِ هَذَا يُحْمَلُ مَا أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَطَّانُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَزْهَرِ السَّلِيطِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ. ( ح ) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صُدْرَانَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ طُعْمَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ ؓ قَالَ:

قَسَّمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي أَصْحَابِهِ غَنَمًا فَأَعْطَانِي عَتُودًا جَذَعًا، فَقَالَ: " ضَحِّ بِهِ ". فَقُلْتُ: إِنَّهُ جَذَعٌ مِنَ الْمَعْزِ أُضَحِّي بِهِ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، ضَحِّ بِهِ ". فَضَحَّيْتُ بِهِ
