أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْمُنَادِي، ثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثَنَا أَبَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سَرِيعٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ سَرِيَّةً يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ، فَقَاتَلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فَأَفْضَى بِهِمُ الْقَتْلُ إِلَى الذُّرِّيَّةِ، فَلَمَّا جَاءُوا قَالَ النَّبِيُّ - ﷺ: مَا حَمَلَكُمْ عَلَى قَتْلِ الذُّرِّيَّةِ ؟ قَالُوا: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّمَا كَانُوا أَوْلَادَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ. قَالَ: " وَهَلْ خِيَارُكُمْ إِلَّا أَوْلَادُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ ؟ وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ مَا مِنْ نَسَمَةٍ تُولَدُ إِلَّا عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ حَتَّى يُعْرِبَ عَنْهَا لِسَانُهَا ".
