When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ had finished with Ḥunayn, he sent Abū ʿĀmir over the army of Awṭās. He met Durayd b. al-Ṣimmah, and Durayd was killed, and Allah routed his companions. And he mentioned the hadith, until he said, from Abū Mūsā: When I returned to the Prophet ﷺ, I entered upon him while he was in a house on a bed woven with palm fibres, and beside him was a mattress, and the weave of the bed had left its marks on the back and side of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. So I informed him of my news and the news of Abū ʿĀmir.
