اسْتِدْلَالًا بِمَا أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ، ثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الطَّيَالِسِيُّ، ثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ الْمُرَقِّعِ بْنِ صَيْفِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَبَاحِ بْنِ رَبِيعٍ ؓ قَالَ:
كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةٍ، فَرَأَى النَّاسَ مُجْتَمِعِينَ عَلَى شَيْءٍ، فَبَعَثَ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ: " انْظُرْ عَلَى مَا اجْتَمَعَ هَؤُلَاءِ ؟ " فَجَاءَ فَقَالَ: عَلَى امْرَأَةٍ قَتِيلٍ، فَقَالَ: " مَا كَانَتْ هَذِهِ لِتُقَاتِلَ ". قَالَ: وَعَلَى الْمُقَدِّمَةِ خَالِدُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ، فَبَعَثَ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ: قُلْ لِخَالِدٍ لَا تَقْتُلَنَّ امْرَأَةً وَلَا عَسِيفًا

He also narrated it from al-Mughīrah, from Abū al-Zinād, from al-Muraqqiʿ, from his grandfather Rabāḥ; and from Sufyān al-Thawrī, from Abū al-Zinād, from al-Muraqqiʿ, from Ḥanẓalah the scribe. He said: It is said that the hadith of Sufyān from Abū al-Zinād is an error (wahm).
