( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْقَطَّانُ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ، عَنِ الْمِسْوَرِ بْنِ مَخْرَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ:

أَنَّهُ حَرَسَ مَعَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ لَيْلَةً بِالْمَدِينَةِ فَبَيْنَمَا هُمْ يَمْشُونَ شَبَّ لَهُمْ سِرَاجٌ فِي بَيْتٍ فَانْطَلَقُوا يَؤُمُّونَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا دَنَوْا مِنْهُ إِذَ بَابٌ مُجَافٍ عَلَى قَوْمٍ لَهُمْ فِيهِ أَصْوَاتٌ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ وَلَغَطٌ؛ فَقَالَ عُمَرُ ؓ، وَأَخَذَ بِيَدِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ فَقَالَ: أَتَدْرِي بَيْتَ مَنْ هَذَا ؟ قُلْتُ: لَا. قَالَ: هَذَا بَيْتُ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ خَلَفٍ، وَهُمُ الْآنَ شَرْبٌ؛ فَمَا تَرَى ؟ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ: أَرَى قَدْ أَتَيْنَا مَا نَهَى اللهُ عَنْهُ: وَلا تَجَسَّسُوا فَقَدْ تَجَسَّسْنَا. فَانْصَرَفَ عَنْهُمْ عُمَرُ ؓ وَتَرَكَهُمْ
