أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ الْفَقِيهُ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ، ثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
جَاءَ مَاعِزٌ الْأَسْلَمِيُّ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: إِنِّي زَنَيْتُ، فَأَعْرَضَ عَنْهُ، وَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ. قَالَ: اذْهَبُوا بِهِ فَارْجُمُوهُ. فَلَمَّا وَجَدَ مَسَّ الْحِجَارَةِ فَرَّ يَشْتَدُّ، فَمَرَّ رَجُلٌ مَعَهُ لَحْيُ بَعِيرٍ فَضَرَبَهُ فَقَتَلَهُ، فَذُكِرَ فِرَارُهُ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ: " أَفَلَا تَرَكْتُمُوهُ
