أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبِرْتِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ جَامِعِ بْنِ شَدَّادٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ - رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْحَيِّ - قَالَ:
كُنْتُ فِي الْخَيْلِ يَوْمَ النَّهَرَوَانِ مَعَ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ فَلَمَّا أَنْ فَرَغَ مِنْهُمْ وَقَتَلَهُمْ، لَمْ يَقْطَعْ رَأْسًا، وَلَمْ يَكْشِفْ عَوْرَةً
