( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ: عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ السُّكَّرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ

أَنَّ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتَ عُمَرَ ؓ سَحَرَتْهَا جَارِيَةٌ لَهَا، فَأَقَرَّتْ بِالسِّحْرِ وَأَخْرَجَتْهُ، فَقَتَلَتْهَا، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ عُثْمَانَ ؓ فَغَضِبَ، فَأَتَاهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ ؓ فَقَالَ: جَارِيَتُهَا سَحَرَتْهَا، أَقَرَّتْ بِالسِّحْرِ وَأَخْرَجَتْهُ. قَالَ: فَكَفَّ عُثْمَانُ ؓ. قَالَ: وَكَأَنَّهُ إِنَّمَا كَانَ غَضَبُهُ لِقَتْلِهَا إِيَّاهَا بِغَيْرِ أَمْرِهِ
