( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ الرَّفَّاءُ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَمْرٍو عُثْمَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بِشْرٍ، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْقَاضِي، ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ وَعِيسَى بْنُ مِينَا قَالَا: ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَالَ:
كَانَ مَنْ أَدْرَكْتُ مِنْ فُقَهَائِنَا الَّذِينَ يُنْتَهَى إِلَى قَوْلِهِمْ مِنْهُمْ: سَعِيدُ بْنُ الْمُسَيِّبِ، وَعُرْوَةُ بْنُ الزُّبَيْرِ، وَالْقَاسِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، وَخَارِجَةُ بْنُ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، وَعُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، وَسُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ يَسَارٍ فِي مَشْيَخَةٍ جِلَّةٍ سِوَاهُمْ مِنْ نُظَرَائِهِمْ، وَرُبَّمَا اخْتَلَفُوا فِي الشَّيْءِ فَأَخَذْنَا بِقَوْلِ أَكْثَرِهِمْ وَأَفْضَلِهِمْ رَأْيًا. قَالَ: وَكَانُوا يَقُولُونَ: الْعَقْلُ فِي الْخَطَأِ خَمْسَةُ أَخْمَاسٍ: فَخَمْسٌ جِذَاعٌ، وَخَمْسٌ حِقَاقٌ، وَخَمْسٌ بَنَاتُ لَبُونٍ، وَخَمْسٌ بَنَاتُ مَخَاضٍ، وَخَمْسٌ بَنُو لَبُونٍ ذُكُورٌ، وَالسِّنُّ فِي كُلِّ جُرْحٍ قَلَّ أَوْ كَثُرَ خَمْسَةُ أَخْمَاسٍ عَلَى هَذِهِ الصِّفَةِ
