( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ، ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، ثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ أَنَّ سُلَيْمَانَ الْمُزَنِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ:
أَنَّهُ اسْتَفْتَى عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ نَوَّطَ عَبْدًا لَهُ فَمَاتَ وَلَمْ يُرِدْ قَتْلَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: لِيُعْتِقْ رَقَبَةً أَوْ لِيَصُمْ شَهْرَيْنِ مُتَتَابِعَيْنِ
