أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، أَنْبَأَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، أَنْبَأَ الشَّافِعِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَرْمِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ الْجَرْمِيِّ قَالَ:
خَيَّرَنِي عَلِيٌّ ؓ بَيْنَ أُمِّي وَعَمِّي ثُمَّ قَالَ لِأَخٍ لِي أَصْغَرَ مِنِّي: وَهَذَا أَيْضًا لَوْ قَدْ بَلَغَ مَبْلَغَ هَذَا لَخَيَّرْتُهُ

سألت أبي عن هذا الحديث حيث رواه أبو داود الطيالسي عن شعبة عن يونس الجرمي عن علي بن ربيعة قال شهدت عليا فذكر الحديث فقال هذا خطأ إنما هو عن يونس الجرمي عن عمارة عن علي قلت لأبي الخطأ من أبي داود أو من شعبة قال لا أدري وكان أكثر خطأ شعبة في أسماء الرجال
