I was sitting spinning wool while the Prophet ﷺ was mending his sandal. His forehead began to sweat, and his sweat began to produce light, and I was astonished. The Messenger of God ﷺ looked at me and said: "What is the matter with you, ʿĀʾishah? You are astonished?" I said: "Your forehead began to sweat, and your sweat began to produce light. If Abū Kabīr al-Hudhalī had seen you, he would have known that you are more deserving of his verse." He said: "And what does Abū Kabīr say?" She said: I said, he says: "And free from every residue of menstruation, and the corruption of a nursing mother, and the sickness of a suckling woman's milk. When you look at the lines of his face, they gleam like the gleaming of a bright, flashing cloud." She said: So the Prophet ﷺ stood up to me, kissed me between my eyes, and said: "May God reward you with good on my behalf, ʿĀʾishah. You have not been as delighted with me as I am delighted with you."
