( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْفَقِيهُ، قَالَ: قَالَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ الْحَافِظُ: رَوَاهُ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، عَنْ ثَوْرٍ. وَقَالَ: حُدِّثْتُ عَنْ رَجَاءِ بْنِ حَيْوَةَ، عَنْ كَاتِبِ الْمُغِيرَةِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مُرْسَلًا لَيْسَ فِيهِ الْمُغِيرَةُ. ( قَالَ الشَّيْخُ ): وَهَكَذَا ذَكَرَهُ أَبُو عِيسَى عَنِ الْبُخَارِيِّ وَأَبِي زُرْعَةَ الرَّازِيِّ

Ḥaywah, which mentions the top of the khuff and its bottom, is not established, because Ibn al-Mubārak narrated it from Thawr as a mursal report.
