( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَمْرٍو الْأَدِيبُ، أَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ الْإِسْمَاعِيلِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ أَبُو بَكْرٍ، ثَنَا عَاصِمٌ هُوَ ابْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثَنَا أَبُو حَازِمٍ، ثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ قَالَ:

كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَجَاءَتْهُ امْرَأَةٌ تَعْرِضُ نَفْسَهَا عَلَيْهِ فَخَفَّضَ فِيهَا الْبَصَرَ وَرَفَعَهُ فَلَمْ يُرِدْهَا، فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ: زَوِّجْنِيهَا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، قَالَ: " هَلْ عِنْدَكَ شَيْءٌ "، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا عِنْدِي شَيْءٌ، قَالَ: " وَلَا خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ "، قَالَ: وَلَا خَاتَمٌ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ، وَلَكِنْ أَشُقُّ بُرْدَتِي هَذِهِ فَأُعْطِيهَا النِّصْفَ وَآخُذُ النِّصْفَ قَالَ: " لَا، وَلَكِنْ هَلْ مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ شَيْءٌ "، قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: اذْهَبْ فَقَدْ زَوَّجْتُكَهَا بِمَا مَعَكَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ
