( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَسَدِيُّ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ، ثَنَا آدَمُ بْنُ أَبِي إِيَاسٍ، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ( حَ قَالَ: وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْعَدْلُ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، ثَنَا أَبِي، ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، سَمِعَ أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ - مَوْلَى بَنِي تَيْمِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ - يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ:
أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ عَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ يَسْأَلُ بِلَالًا عَنْ وُضُوءِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: كَانَ يَخْرُجُ يَقْضِي حَاجَتَهُ فَآتِيهِ بِالْمَاءِ فَيَتَوَضَّأُ، وَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى عِمَامَتِهِ وَمُوقَيْهِ

machine translationThe Shaykh was asked about the narration of Shuʿbah from Abū Bakr b. Ḥafṣ from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān from Abū ʿAbdullāh: who are the two? He said: "No one named them except Ibn Abjar, who said: 'from Abū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān, Muslim b. Yasār.' But it is not, in my view, as he said."
