أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ:
بُعِثَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ مَلَكٌ لَمْ يَعْرِفْهُ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَبَّكَ تَعَالَى يُخَيِّرُكَ بَيْنَ أَنْ تَكُونَ نَبِيًّا عَبْدًا أَوْ نَبِيًّا مَلِكًا، فَأَشَارَ إِلَيْهِ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ أَنْ تَوَاضَعْ، قَالَ: نَبِيًّا عَبْدًا
