( وَأَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو نَصْرِ بْنُ قَتَادَةَ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مَنْصُورٍ النَّضْرَوِيُّ الْهَرَوِيُّ، ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ نَجْدَةَ، ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ مُهَاجِرٍ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ، قَالَ:
أَتَيْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ وَأَبَا بُرْدَةَ بِالزَّكَاةِ وَهُمَا عَلَى بَيْتِ الْمَالِ فَأَخَذَاهَا، ثُمَّ جِئْتُ مَرَّةً أُخْرَى، فَوَجَدْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ وَحْدَهُ، فَقَالَ: رُدَّهَا، فَضَعْهَا مَوَاضِعَهَا، قُلْتُ: فَمَا أَصْنَعُ بِنَصِيبِ الْمُؤَلَّفَةِ قُلُوبُهُمْ ؟ قَالَ: رُدَّهُ عَلَى آخَرِينَ
