The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave Abū Sufyān b. Ḥarb, Ṣafwān b. Umayyah, ʿUyaynah b. Ḥiṣn and al-Aqraʿ b. Ḥābis a hundred camels each, and he gave ʿAbbās b. Mirdās less than that. Then Sufyān said: ʿUmar or someone else said in this hadith: ʿAbbās b. Mirdās said: "Will you make my plunder and the plunder of al-ʿUbayd go to ʿUyaynah and al-Aqraʿ? Neither Badr nor Ḥābis surpasses Mirdās in the gathering, and I was not lower than either of them, and whoever is lowered today will not be raised." He said: So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ completed a hundred for him.
