( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ، ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، ثَنَا وَكِيعُ بْنُ الْجَرَّاحِ، ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْمُنْبَعِثِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ:
سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللُّقَطَةِ ؟ فَقَالَ: عَرِّفْهَا سَنَةً، فَإِنْ جَاءَ صَاحِبُهَا، وَإِلَّا فَاسْتَنْفِقْهَا

machine translationRabīʿah b. Abī ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrates it, and there is disagreement concerning him about it, from Yazīd, the freed slave of al-Munbaʿith, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ. Al-Layth b. Saʿd contradicted him and said: "Someone with whom I am satisfied narrated to me, from Ismāʿīl b. Umayyah, from Rabīʿah and others, from the freed slave of al-Munbaʿith, from a man from among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ, from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ."
