( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ، ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ السَّعْدِيُّ، أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ؛ أَنَّ حَنْظَلَةَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ؛ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَافِعَ بْنَ خَدِيجٍ يَقُولُ:

كُنَّا أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مُزْدَرَعًا، وَكُنَّا نُكْرِي الْأَرْضَ بِالنَّاحِيَةِ مِنْهَا، تُسَمَّى لِسَيِّدِ الْأَرْضِ، فَرُبَّمَا يُصَابُ ذَلِكَ، وَتُصَابُ الْأَرْضُ، وَرُبَّمَا يَسْلَمُ ذَلِكَ، وَتَسْلَمُ الْأَرْضُ، قَالَ: فَنُهِينَا عَنْ ذَلِكَ، فَأَمَّا الذَّهَبُ وَالْوَرِقُ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ فِي ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانِ.
