( أَخْبَرَنَا ) أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ هِبَةُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ مَنْصُورٍ الطَّبَرِيُّ الْفَقِيهُ - رَحِمَهُ اللهُ - بِبَغْدَادَ، أَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ أَحْمَدَ الْفَارِسِيُّ، أَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّقَفِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الذُّهْلِيُّ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ: قَالَ أَصْحَابُ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ:

وَدِدْنَا أَنَّ عُثْمَانَ وَعَبْدَ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنَ عَوْفٍ قَدْ تَبَايَعَا حَتَّى نَنْظُرَ أَيُّهُمَا أَعْظَمُ جَدًّا فِي التِّجَارَةِ، فَاشْتَرَى عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ مِنْ عُثْمَانَ ؓ فَرَسًا بِأَرْضٍ أُخْرَى بِأَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفَ دِرْهَمٍ أَوْ نَحْوِ ذَلِكَ إِنْ أَدْرَكَتْهَا الصَّفْقَةُ، وَهِيَ سَالِمَةٌ، ثُمَّ أَجَازَ قَلِيلًا، فَرَجَعَ فَقَالَ: أَزِيدُكَ سِتَّةَ آلَافِ دِرْهَمٍ إِنْ وَجَدَهَا رَسُولِي سَالِمَةً، فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، فَوَجَدَهَا رَسُولُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَدْ هَلَكَتْ، فَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا بِشَرْطِهِ الْآخَرِ
