حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عُبَيْدٍ يَعْنِي مَوْلَى أَبِي رَهْمٍ قَالَ
خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ فَرَأَى امْرَأَةً تَنْضَخُ طِيبًا لِذَيْلِهَا إِعْصَارٌ، قَالَ: يَا أَمَةَ الْجَبَّارِ، مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ جِئْتِ، قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: وَلَهُ تَطَيَّبْتِ، قَالَتْ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: فَارْجِعِي فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: لَا يَقْبَلُ اللهُ لِامْرَأَةٍ صَلَاةً تَطَيَّبَتْ لِلْمَسْجِدِ أَوْ لِهَذَا الْمَسْجِدِ حَتَّى تَغْتَسِلَ غُسْلَهَا مِنَ الْجَنَابَةِ.

✧ I went out with Abu Hurayrah from the mosque and he saw a woman whose garment was trailing perfume, with a whirlwind. He said: 'O slave woman of the Compeller, have you come from the mosque?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'And did you perfume yourself for it?' She said: 'Yes.' He said: 'Go back, for I heard Abu al-Qasim ﷺ say: Allah does not accept the prayer of a woman who has perfumed herself for the mosque - or for this mosque - until she performs ghusl like her ghusl from janabah.'
