  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationShuʿbah narrates it from ʿAbdullāh b. Yazīd, from Abū Zurʿah, from Abū Hurayrah, but Shuʿbah only heard it from Salm b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Nakhaʿī, so he made an error (wahm) in the name. It is said that Salm b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān used to sit with ʿAbdullāh b. Yazīd, and for that reason the error crept in to Shuʿbah, and God knows best.
