حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا أُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يُرِيدُ سَفَرًا فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَوْصِنِي. قَالَ: أُوصِيكَ بِتَقْوَى اللهِ، وَالتَّكْبِيرِ عَلَى كُلِّ شَرَفٍ، فَلَمَّا مَضَى قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ ازْوِ لَهُ الْأَرْضَ، وَهَوِّنْ عَلَيْهِ السَّفَرَ.

✧ A man came to the Prophet ﷺ intending to travel and said: O Messenger of Allah, advise me. He said: I advise you to fear Allah and to say takbir upon every elevation. When he left, he said: O Allah, contract the earth for him and make the journey easy for him.
