حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي طَعَامِ أَحَدِكُمْ أَوْ شَرَابِهِ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ إِذَا أَخْرَجَهُ، فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءً، وَفِي الْآخَرِ شِفَاءً وَإِنَّهُ يُقَدِّمُ الدَّاءَ.

Translation

  2. Ibrāhīm b. al-Faḍl
  3. Saʿīd b. Abū Saʿīdʿan Abū Hurayrah
  4. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "If a fly falls into the food or drink of one of you, he should dip it (the fly) and then take it out, for one of its wings carries disease and the other carries the cure. Then he should take what he needs from it."
