حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ السُّدِّيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ خَيْرٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّهُ دَعَا بِكُوزٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: أَيْنَ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يَكْرَهُونَ الشُّرْبَ قَائِمًا ؟ قَالَ: فَأَخَذَهُ، فَشَرِبَ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ، وُضُوءًا خَفِيفًا، وَمَسَحَ عَلَى نَعْلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَكَذَا وُضُوءُ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ لِلطَّاهِرِ مَا لَمْ يُحْدِثْ

Translation

✧ He called for a jug of water, then said: "Where are those who claim they dislike drinking standing?" He said: Then he took it and drank while standing. Then he performed a light ablution and wiped over his sandals. Then he said: "Thus is the ablution of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for one who is pure, as long as he has not invalidated it."
