حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَطَاءٌ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

أَفْضَلُ الصَّدَقَةِ عَنْ ظَهْرِ غِنًى وَالْيَدُ الْعُلْيَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْيَدِ السُّفْلَى وَابْدَأْ بِمَنْ تَعُولُ.

Translation

✧ The best charity is that given from surplus wealth. The upper hand is better than the lower hand, and begin with those you support.
