Translation

✧ 'Gather, for I will recite to you a third of the Quran.' He said: So whoever gathered did so. Then he came out and recited: 'Say: He is God, the One' (Surah al-Ikhlas), then he went in. Some of us said to one another: 'This is news that came to him from heaven; that is what made him go in.' Then he came out and said: 'I told you that I would recite to you a third of the Quran. Indeed, it is equal to a third of the Quran.'
