  5. Khāf Zaman Ziyād Aw Ibn Ziyād Faʾatá al-Madīnah Falaqī Abū Hurayrah Fāntasabanī Fāntasabt

✧ He feared the time of Ziyad or Ibn Ziyad, so he came to Madinah and met Abu Hurayrah. He said: He asked me my lineage, so I gave it. Then he said: 'Young man, shall I not tell you a hadith by which perhaps God may benefit you?' I said: 'Yes, may God have mercy on you.' He said: 'Among the first things for which people will be brought to account on the Day of Resurrection is the prayer.' He said: 'Our Lord, Mighty and Majestic, says to His angels, though He knows best: Look at My servant's prayer, whether he completed it or fell short. If it was complete, it is recorded for him as complete. If he fell short in something of it, He says: Look whether My servant has any voluntary prayers. If he has voluntary prayers, He says: Complete My servant's obligatory prayer from his voluntary prayer. Then the rest of the deeds are taken according to that.'
