✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on a military expedition he undertook, and in it the Muslims ran out of provisions and were in need of food. They sought the permission of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to slaughter the camels, and he granted them permission. That reached 'Umar b. al-Khattab, so he came and said, "O Messenger of Allah, their camels carry them and convey them to their enemy, and they would slaughter them? Rather, call, O Messenger of Allah, for the remnants of the provisions, and invoke Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for blessing in them." He said, "Yes." So he called for the remnants of the provisions, and the people brought what remained with them; he gathered it, then invoked Allah (Mighty and Majestic) for blessing in it, and he called for their vessels and filled them, and a great deal remained. At that, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that I am the servant of Allah and His Messenger. Whoever meets Allah (Mighty and Majestic) with these two, not doubting them, will enter Paradise."
