حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ ثَوْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْغَيْثِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

مَنْ أَخَذَ [مِنْ مَالِ] النَّاسِ يُرِيدُ أَدَاءَهَا أَدَّى اللهُ عَنْهُ، وَمَنْ أَخَذَهَا يُرِيدُ يَعْنِي تَلَفَهَا أَتْلَفَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.

Translation

✧ Whoever takes [from the wealth of] people intending to repay it, Allah will repay it on his behalf; and whoever takes it intending to destroy it—meaning to waste it—Allah, Mighty and Majestic, will destroy him.
