حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ قَالَ
تَضَيَّفْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ سَبْعًا قَالَ: وَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ: قَسَمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بَيْنَ أَصْحَابِهِ تَمْرًا، فَأَصَابَنِي سَبْعُ تَمَرَاتٍ إِحْدَاهُنَّ حَشَفَةٌ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ شَيْءٌ أَعْجَبَ إِلَيَّ مِنْهَا شَدَّتْ مَضَاغِي.

✧ I heard Abu Uthman Al-Nahdi saying, "I hosted Abu Hurayrah seven dates. He said, 'The Prophet ﷺ divided dates among his companions and I received seven dates, one of which had a pit. Nothing impressed me more than its sweetness.'"
