✧ No one knew more of the hadith of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than I, except what was from 'Abd Allah b. 'Amr, for he used to write with his hand and retain it in his heart, while I used to retain it in my heart but not write with my hand. He sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to write from him, and he granted him permission.
