حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

مَا اجْتَمَعَ قَوْمٌ فَتَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ غَيْرِ ذِكْرِ اللهِ إِلَّا كَأَنَّمَا تَفَرَّقُوا عَنْ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الْمَجْلِسُ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسْرَةً.

Translation

✧ Narrated by the Prophet, ﷺ, he said, "Whenever a group gathers and disperses without mentioning the name of Allah, it is as if they have separated from the carcass of a dead donkey. And this gathering will be a source of regret for them."
