حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ

إِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي الْخِصْبِ فَأَعْطُوا الْإِبِلَ حَظَّهَا مِنَ الْأَرْضِ، وَإِذَا سَافَرْتُمْ فِي السَّنَةِ فَبَادِرُوا بِهَا نِقْيَهَا، وَإِذَا عَرَّسْتُمْ فَاجْتَنِبُوا الطُّرُقَ فَإِنَّهَا طُرُقُ الدَّوَابِّ وَمَأْوَى الْهَوَامِّ بِاللَّيْلِ

Translation

✧ When you travel in fertile land, give the camels their share of the ground. When you travel in a year of drought, hasten with them while they are strong. When you halt for the night, avoid the roads, for they are the paths of beasts and the refuge of vermin at night.
