حَدَّثَنَا خَلَفٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ عَنْ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
لَا أَعْرِفَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْكُمْ أَتَاهُ عَنِّي حَدِيثٌ وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ فِي أَرِيكَتِهِ فَيَقُولُ: اتْلُ عَلَيَّ بِهِ قُرْآنًا، مَا جَاءَكُمْ عَنِّي مِنْ خَيْرٍ قُلْتُهُ أَوْ لَمْ أَقُلْهُ، فَأَنَا أَقُولُهُ، وَمَا أَتَاكُمْ عَنِّي مِنْ شَرٍّ، فَأَنَا لَا أَقُولُ الشَّرَّ
Translation

✧ I should not find any one of you, when a hadith from me reaches him while he is reclining on his couch, saying, "Recite a Quranic verse to me about it." Whatever good reaches you from me, whether I said it or not, I say it. And whatever evil reaches you from me, I do not say evil.
