حَدَّثَنَا عَائِذُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ حَدَّثَنِي عَامِرُ بْنُ السِّمْطِ عَنْ أَبِي الْغَرِيفِ قَالَ
أُتِيَ عَلِيٌّ بِوَضُوءٍ، فَمَضْمَضَ وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ يَدَيْهِ وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا، ثُمَّ مَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ رِجْلَيْهِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ تَوَضَّأَ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ شَيْئًا مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: هَذَا لِمَنْ لَيْسَ بِجُنُبٍ، فَأَمَّا الْجُنُبُ فَلَا، وَلَا آيَةَ
Translation

✧ Ali was brought water for wudu, and he rinsed his mouth and sniffed water into his nose three times, washed his face three times, washed his hands and forearms three times each, then wiped his head, then washed his feet. Then he said: "Thus I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ perform wudu." Then he recited something from the Quran, then said: "This is for one who is not junub. As for the junub, then no, not even a verse."
