حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
فِي قَوْلِهِ لِرَسُولِهِ: فَاسْأَلْهُ مَا بَالُ النِّسْوَةِ اللاتِي قَطَّعْنَ أَيْدِيَهُنَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَوْ كُنْتُ أَنَا لَأَسْرَعْتُ الْإِجَابَةَ وَمَا ابْتَغَيْتُ الْعُذْرَ

✧ Regarding His saying to His Messenger: "Ask him what is the matter with the women who cut their hands," the Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Had it been me, I would have hastened to answer and would not have sought an excuse."
