حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أُتِيَ بِطَعَامٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ يَسْأَلُ عَنْهُ، فَإِنْ قِيلَ لَهُ هَدِيَّةٌ أَكَلَ، وَإِنْ قِيلَ صَدَقَةٌ قَالَ: " كُلُوا، وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ
Translation

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was brought food from other than his household, he would ask about it. If it was said to him that it was a gift, he would eat; and if it was said that it was charity, he would say, "Eat," and he would not eat.
