حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ وَسُرَيْجٌ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا فُلَيْحٌ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ السَّبَّاقِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ
تُفْتَحُ الْبِلَادُ وَالْأَمْصَارُ، فَيَقُولُ الرِّجَالُ لِإِخْوَانِهِمْ: هَلُمَّ إِلَى الرِّيفِ، وَالْمَدِينَةُ خَيْرٌ لَهُمْ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ، لَا يَصْبِرُ عَلَى لَأْوَائِهَا وَشِدَّتِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا كُنْتُ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ شَهِيدًا أَوْ شَفِيعًا.

✧ Lands and cities will be conquered, and men will say to their brothers: Come to the countryside. But Madinah is better for them, if they only knew. No one patiently endures its hardship and severity except that I will be for him on the Day of Resurrection a witness or an intercessor.
