✧ The Prophet of Allah ﷺ said to me: "O Abu Hurayrah, shall I guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise beneath the Throne?" He said: I said: "Yes, may my father and mother be your ransom." He said: "That you say: 'There is no strength except with Allah.'" Abu Balj said: I think he said: "For Allah, Mighty and Majestic, says: 'My servant has submitted and surrendered.'" He said: I said to 'Amr: Abu Balj said: 'Amr said: I said to Abu Hurayrah: "(Is it) 'There is no might nor strength except with Allah'?" He said: "No, it is in Surat al-Kahf: 'If only, when you entered your garden, you had said: What Allah wills; there is no strength except with Allah.'"

machine translationMuḥammad b. al-Sāʾib b. Barakah narrated it from ʿAmr b. Maymūn, from Abū Dharr. There is a disagreement about ʿAmr b. Maymūn: Ḥātim b. Abī Ṣaghīrah narrated it from Abū Balj, from ʿAmr b. Maymūn, from ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAmr, while Shuʿbah narrated it from Abū Balj, from ʿAmr b. Maymūn, from Abū Hurayrah. And Allah knows best what is correct.

Maymūn, from Abū Hurayrah, from the Prophet ﷺ, concerning "lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh"; and Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Muḥammad b. al-Sāʾib b. Barakah, from ʿAmr b. Maymūn, from Abū Dharr, from the Prophet ﷺ. Which of the two is more sound (aṣaḥḥ)? He said: The hadith of Ibn ʿUyaynah is more sound.
