✧ “Is there any man who will take from what God and His Messenger have enjoined a word or two or three or four or five, and place them at the edge of his cloak, and learn them and teach them?” Abu Hurayrah said: “I said, ‘I will, O Messenger of God.’ He said, ‘Spread out your garment.’ So I spread out my garment, and the Messenger of God ﷺ spoke. Then he said, ‘Gather it to you.’ So I gathered my garment to my chest. I hope I have not forgotten any hadith I heard from him after that.”
