✧ I was walking with the Messenger of God ﷺ in a palm grove belonging to some of the people of Madinah. He said, "O Abu Hurayrah, the wealthy are ruined, except for one who says like this, and like this, and like this" — three times, making a gesture with his hand to his right, to his left, and in front of him. "But how few they are!" Then he walked for a while and said, "O Abu Hurayrah, shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Paradise?" I said, "Yes, O Messenger of God." He said, "There is no might and no power except with God, and there is no refuge from God except in Him." Then he walked for a while and said, "O Abu Hurayrah, do you know what is the right of people upon God, and what is the right of God upon people?" I said, "God and His Messenger know best." He said, "The right of God upon people is that they worship Him and associate nothing with Him. If they do that, then it is His right not to punish them."

machine translationAbū Isḥāq al-Sabīʿī narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Isrāʾīl, Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, ʿAmmār b. Ruzayq, Abū Bakr b. ʿAyyāsh and Abū Ayyūb al-Afrīqī narrated it from Abū Isḥāq, from Kumayl, from Abū Hurayrah, and the first is more correct (aṣaḥḥ).
