✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said on the night he was taken on the Isra': I met Musa ﷺ. He described him, saying: A man—he said: I think he said—with a lean build, with straight hair, as if he were one of the men of Shanu'ah. He said: And I met Isa ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ described him, saying: Of medium height, ruddy, as if he had just come out of a dimas, meaning a bathhouse. He said: And I saw Ibrahim ﷺ, and I am the one among his descendants who most resembles him. He said: Then I was brought two vessels, one containing milk and the other wine. It was said to me: Take whichever you wish, so I took the milk and drank it. It was said to me: You have been guided to the fitrah—or you have attained the fitrah. Indeed, if you had taken the wine, your nation would have gone astray.

Abī al-Akhḍar narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd b. al-Musayyab, from Abū Hurayrah. Likewise al-Qudāmī, whose name is ʿAbdullāh b. Muḥammad b. Rabīʿah, narrated it from Mālik, from al-Zuhrī. Baḥr al-Saqqāʾ narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd and Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah. Ibrāhīm b. Saʿd narrated it from al-Zuhrī, from Saʿīd as a mursal report (mursal). The correct view is that of those who said: from Saʿīd alone, from Abū Hurayrah.
