حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَبْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
صَلَّى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ الظُّهْرَ أَوِ الْعَصْرَ، فَسَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ ذُو الشِّمَالَيْنِ ابْنُ عَبْدِ عَمْرٍو - وَكَانَ حَلِيفًا لِبَنِي زُهْرَةَ -: أَخُفِّفَتِ الصَّلَاةُ أَمْ نَسِيتَ ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: مَا يَقُولُ ذُو الْيَدَيْنِ ؟ قَالُوا: صَدَقَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ. فَأَتَمَّ بِهِمُ الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ اللَّتَيْنِ نَقَصَ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed Zuhr or 'Asr and said the salam after two rak'ahs. Dhu al-Shimalayn b. 'Abd 'Amr — who was an ally of Banu Zuhrah — said to him, 'Has the prayer been shortened or did you forget?' The Prophet ﷺ said, 'What is Dhu al-Yadayn saying?' They said, 'He has spoken the truth, O Prophet of Allah.' So he completed with them the two rak'ahs that were missing.
