machine translationMuḥammad b. Sīrīn narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Ibn Abī Zāʾidah narrated it from Ashʿath b. Sawwār, from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū Salamah, from Abū Hurayrah. But Ayyūb al-Sakhtiyānī, Ibn ʿAwn, Yūnus, Ḥabīb, Hishām, Manṣūr b. Zādhān and Abū Hilāl al-Rāsibī opposed him; they narrated it from Ibn Sīrīn, from Abū Hurayrah, and this is the preserved (maḥfūẓ) version.
