حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ غَزْوَانَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نُعْمٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ

الْفِضَّةُ بِالْفِضَّةِ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ، وَالذَّهَبُ بِالذَّهَبِ وَزْنًا بِوَزْنٍ مِثْلًا بِمِثْلٍ فَمَنْ زَادَ فَهُوَ رِبًا، وَلَا تُبَاعُ ثَمَرَةٌ حَتَّى يَبْدُوَ صَلَاحُهَا

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Yaʿlá
  2. Fuḍayl / Ibn Ghazwān
  3. Ibn Abū Nuʿm
  4. Abū Hurayrah
  5. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ Silver for silver, like for like, weight for weight; and gold for gold, weight for weight, like for like. Whoever gives more has committed riba. And fruit should not be sold until its ripeness is apparent.
