حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِيهُرَيْرَةَ وَعَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ

إِيَّاكُمْ وَالْوِصَالَ. قَالُوا: فَإِنَّكَ تُوَاصِلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَسْتُ فِي ذَلِكَ مِثْلَكُمْ إِنِّي أَظَلُّ يُطْعِمُنِي رَبِّي وَيَسْقِينِي، فَاكْلَفُوا مِنَ الْأَعْمَالِ مَا لَكُمْ بِهِ طَاقَةٌ

Translation

  7. Abū Hurayrah
  8. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ Beware of continuous fasting. They said: 'But you fast continuously, O Messenger of Allah?' He said: 'I am not like you in that. I remain such that my Lord feeds me and gives me drink. So take on deeds that you have the strength for.'
