حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ النَّضْرِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ بَشِيرِ بْنِ نَهِيكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ
مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ شِقْصٌ فِي مَمْلُوكٍ فَأَعْتَقَ نِصْفَهُ فَعَلَيْهِ خَلَاصُهُ إِنْ كَانَ لَهُ مَالٌ، فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَالٌ اسْتُسْعِيَ الْعَبْدُ فِي ثَمَنِ رَقَبَتِهِ غَيْرَ مَشْقُوقٍ عَلَيْهِ

✧ Whoever has a share in a slave and frees half of it, he must pay for his full emancipation if he has wealth. If he has no wealth, the slave is to be asked to work for the price of his freedom without being overburdened.
